Company history
I'm a "born again" scooterist, living in the Grimsby/Cleethorpes area who had a series of vespas in the 80's starting with the legendary fifty 'special..........needs!'. I had a bit of a spill which put me off but still followed the 'scene' and got another scooter (and first Lambretta) around Nov. '02, thanks to my cousins' husband (cheers Bobbins!!!) - who has since got a big bloody caravan, joined the DARKSIDE and left me pushing my Lammy the length and breadth of Britain!
I'm just trying to do a few specialist parts, partly out of necessity as the kit I was buying wasn't up to the job or doing bits other stockists don't seem to do, as all the bits I do are on my own scooters. I don't want to go down the route of stocking pattern Indian/Vietnamese parts and will continue to concentrate on one off or custom parts Etc. and am constantly on the lookout for new and innovative scooter parts. I also try my best to give a bespoke service, shipping out goods as soon as is possible, listening to advice/problems and sorting them/rectifying mistakes Etc. and generally giving my bits a guarantee that is genuinely worth something. I must be doing something right as I am supplying several large scooter shops in the U.K.!...........................................................................................................
I started converting the shocks around 7 years ago after using an escorts shock and bottoming out due to my "wide load" arse, since then I have converted well over 250! I have plenty of stock in now to suit most budgets with shocks from £100 to £150, depending on age, mileage, condition Etc...........I will be selling off the shocks I've got and probably not be getting any more as the prices are sky-high to buy these now. I am now stocking brand new ones with all the features of these shocks, slightly cheaper, but with full 3 year warranties Etc.
The brake hoses started around the same time. I bought a front disc set-up from scootRS and it came with the horrible rubber hose - that needed to go straight away so looked into getting them from a reputable British manufacturer who would give top quality parts and customer service. I originally got the measurements wrong as I took direct dimensions off the original pipe, not taking into account they were a pain in the ass changing a puncture so, now, all my hoses are 4" longer, enough to get over this problem.
The dampers were the same story.........................zzzzzzzzzz, I'm boring myself!
.........................please email CHIGGY.CHAMBERS@sky.com for prices Etc............. We're getting there! Some of the items now have prices including worldwide shipping............. please be patient.
3 older type, 3 newer type and 4 R1 shocks in stock all ready for your choice of spring. I have 4 BRAND NEW R6 REAR SHOCKS LEFT.........

(27/9/09) Chiggy,
Finally I have sorted the technical issues with the laptop!!!
I have enclosed the pics of the SX and the GP and the testimonials as promised.
SX
The shock went on two days before the IOW and with other problems
I had no chance to test it, so the run down to Portsmouth was the test.
Road holding was better than I could have hoped and when I got off I
still had feeling in my arse!!!
Fitting was easy some problems with the rear mudguard was solved
with a couple of spacers, provided by Chiggy, I would also recommend
using the machined nylock nuts also provided by Chiggy.
The wife is also very happy as she felt much happier on the back and the scoot pulled lovely two up.
GP
With a fully tuned RB22 under your backside keeping the rear wheel
on the grey stuff is bloody essential, the R6 shock makes that happen
and I am seriously chuffed with the road holding.
