Brand new R1 and R6 rear shocks
These are made from billet aluminium, so wont rust and come with the PRE-LOAD, COMPRESSION AND REBOUND ADJUSTERS, so can be used one-up or two-up. As far as I am concerned these are the best shock for a lambretta you can buy, and as long as it has the nylon bushes and spaced off the mudguard, will last the lifetime of your scooter!
I put these on the softest settings but I can set them up to your requirements first if you ask. The R1 is 300mm from centre to centre, so exactly the same as a standard S3 shock should be.
The R6 shock is 10mm shorter than the R1 and gives that little bit extra clearance between the frame and manifold, so is ideal for anyone running a reed block and big carb. on the right hand side such as a TS1, RB, Imola Etc. OR have gone for a 60+ mm crank and need a packing plate.
My springs are of a far superior quality to the ones on other shocks, being made from hard drawn silicone chrome and are almost twice as strong as types used by others. These WILL NO SNAP, guaranteed...........the claim from the manufacturers is that they have sold over 1,000,000 springs without 1 failure!
Basic premise for spring size: If you are 14 1/2 stone and ride mainly 1-up you only need a 180lbs spring, over 14 1/2 or ride mainly 2-up go for the 225lbs.
They come with your choice of 16 spring colours (see spring page) and either a 180 or 225lb spring. For an extra £25 you can have a chrome spring from Karl Russell (quality chrome, Hull), but these are made to order.
I only use nylon/PTFE bushes.

This is an example of a brand new R1 rear shock with a Karl Russell chromed spring and, unfortunately, brass bushes. As you can see these are made of billet aluminum, and have only done "factory" miles.
These are 300mm long from centre to centre and have pre-load, compression and rebound damping capabilities.
